ABSTRACT
Modern prefabricated buildings, constructed according to the innovative Polytech technology are to be energy-saving and enable quick completion of the investment project. The new construction method uses load-bearing and, at the same time insulating, elements in the form of prefabricated panels made from the modified Polytech mortar. However, until today, the detailed data regarding the strength and deformability of important Polytech elements have not been verified. The new Polytech system has not been investigated in terms of its performance under practical conditions. An innovative solution has been proposed, that involves introducing fiber Bragg gratings deformation sensors into the selected, important structural nodes of the building. The proposed method enables constant measurements of deformations of the model object (single-family house) during the whole exploitation cycle. The deformation measurement method based on the Bragg gratings sensors allows to monitor deformations, stresses, strains and temperature of the important elements of the building structure. The results will enable the proper modification of the selected structural nodes. A parallel objective is to enable the implementation of the innovative method of production of the prefabricated elements for a mass scale construction.
Keywords: prefabricated buildings, sensors with Bragg’s gratings.
