DYNAMICS OF MASS OF A SAMPLE IN THE COURSE OF OSCILLATING VACUUM AND CONDUCTIVE DRYING OF TIMBER

ABSTRACT

Modern drying of wood remains one of the basic engineering procedures influencing the quality, product cost and duration of production cycle at the woodworking entities. The drying equipment often has evolutionary nature of development. It is generally reached due to upgrade of the existing complex of the drying equipment, however the use of innovative technologies is necessary for increase in high-quality, regime and also energy efficient indicators. The analysis of theory of drying, technologies of various processes of drying and the drying equipment shows that the contact drying in the rarefied environment having indisputable advantages along with classical types of drying is the perspective direction. Besides, insufficient use of innovative technologies in this field of drying is observed. With respect thereto the technology of oscillating vacuum and contact drying has been developed. In this work the results of pilot study and the mathematical description in the form of the factorial analysis of dynamics of mass of samples in the course of drying are described. These results can be applied to optimization of quality and regime characteristics in the offered technology of drying.
