ABSTRACT
The purpose of the study was to present detailed the stages in achieving the documentation necessary to upgrade the infrastructure of a road, after the landslides which led to the erosion of embankments.
The chosen methodology consisted in designing and analyzing the topographical, geological, hydrographic, climatic studies and seismic classification of the area. Following the completion of basic works were proposed other works necessary to remedy the problem, conjunction with legislation to obtaining the Environmental Agreement.
It was found that the steps proposed in the basic documentation had to be supplemented. It was elaborated a graphic conducted on a period of 12 months about the implementation on field of proposed work, as a solution to remedy the erosion; there have been estimates of labor necessary to complete such a project.
Based on a case study, the paper makes a clear presentation of steps and issues that may occur to the upgrade of roads affected by erosion.
Keywords: erosion, embankment, field studies, environmental impact
