We proposed a new hardware-software magnetic scanner for remote diagnostics of pipelines structure. The main tasks that the scanner solves are: diagnosis of potentially dangerous pipeline sections with high level of mechanic stress, search for underground pipeline route, correction of operator position under the pipeline during the diagnosis. Magnetic scanner includes four vector hall magnetic sensors, placed on ends of two aluminum profiles forming the cross. Scanner sensitivity to the magnetic field is 1 nT at a measurement time of 5 seconds. The scanner allows to measure all gradient components of magnetic field components near the pipeline. The scanner is effective at distances more than 3 m from the nearest sensor to the pipeline. The horizontal sensors pair of the scanner is used as a real-time pipe locator without binding to any reference points. The vertical sensors pair is used for the diagnosis of the structure, the stressstrain state and flaw detection. The main advantages of the developed system are: a lack of impaction on the studied object, compactness, efficiency, combination of pipeline locator and the analyzer in a single device.
