ABSTRACT

Research concerning magnetic diagnostics of the conveyor belt with steel cords was focused on its sections. In this paper authors are focusing on the extraction of the diagnostic parameters for the technical evaluation of the condition of the splice in belt conveyor. Data used for the analysis were acquired from the belt core testing using HRDS system. Parameters that are used in this paper take into account and can define its condition in the specific locations. Parameters were analysed and research shown influence of defect’s magnitude on their values. Initial results have shown that evaluation of technical condition of the splice can be performed using statistical analysis. Results were shown for splices in correct and faulty technical condition.
