DESIGN OF A FEEDING STATION IN ECOLOGICAL TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM OF RAW MATERIALS

ABSTRACT

Currently, worldwide companies engaged in mineral processing are more and more interested in ecological transportation systems that do not effect and pollute the environment during their operation. One important element of such transportation systems is feeding station, which ensures the correct implementation of continuous transportation system. Proper functioning also increases the efficiency and reliability in transporting raw materials. The article deals with own 3D engineering design of the feeding and filling station in ecological transportation system created by using a pipe conveyor. It is based on alternative designs of suitable dispensing device and mounting the return drum, idlers and feed device in the feeding station, and then selecting the optimal variant. The individual design elements are complemented by a choice of materials and a description of their construction. Article includes also the technical and economic assessment of the chosen solution in which gross costs of producing a feeding and filling station for a pipe conveyor are calculated. Since this is a conceptual solution, it opens the further possibility of using such structures in practice, where it would be possible to dimension weaknesses in the engineering design after reanalysis.
