3D MODELING METHODS IN PLANNING OF TECHNOLOGICAL PROCESSES IN QUARRY

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this article is to describe the modern methods of making models of quarry using the latest technologies such as laser scanning, land and air photogrammetry using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) and their subsequent use in the planning of technological processes in the quarry. The first part of the article is dedicated to the creation of models with a focus on data collection and processing, compatibility of each format, the very creation of the model as well as the possibility of using the created model for creating realistic physical models using 3D printing. The emphasis is on creating the optimum method of data processing and the creation of a model with a focus on the cheapest solution with the maximum use of free available software tools to make such a model quarry also available for smaller sites and companies. The second part of the article describes the options thus create a model for planning the various processes of mining in the quarry, such as blasting, optimizing transport to the quarry, planning process and scheduling by specialized software.
