ABSTRACT
The process of reduce smelting of antimony concentrate to produce a rough antimony in 800-1000 ºC are studied. The possibility of obtaining rough antimony by melting without slags and melting with slag-forming fluxes are shown. Analysis of feed and product recovery was performed by atomic absorption method on devices Perkin Elmer 240 FSAA, as well as the method to photocolorimetry on SPEKOL 2000. Thermal analysis was performed on derivatograph Q-1000/D system F. Paulik, J. Paulik and L. Erdey firm "IOM" (Budapest).
Reduce smelting of antimony concentrate without slag mode must be carried out at 900-950 ºС. Carbonaceous reducing agent 14-16 % by weight of the concentrate. Formation of metallic antimony occurs by direct reduction sodium metaantimonate without it decomposition. Consumption of soda should not be increased more than 8 %. Rough antimony contains these metal impurities, %: Pb 1,57; As 0,34; Sn 1,44-1,92; Fe 0,82; Ca<0,0001; Mg<0,001; Na 0,096-0,59. Slags are receiving of smelting with coke and soda have the following contents of impurities, %: Pb 0,06-0,08; As 0,05; Sn 0,24; Fe 0,25; Ca 1,04-1,28; Mg 0,075-0,13; Na 31,17-33,85.The reduce smelting of concentrate with refining flux allows to obtain rough antimony low content of impurities.
