GEOCHEMICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE LATE MESOZOIC SUBVOLCANICS ROCKS OF THE NORTHERN FRAME OF THE BORSCHOVOCHNY RIDGE (EASTERN TRANSBAIKALIA)

ABSTRACT

The article considers the classification affiliation and real features of the subvolcanic rocks of the shadoronsky (J2-3) and abagatuysky (K1) complexes of the northern frame of the Borschovochny ridge. This structure is part of the Aga terrain of the Mongol-Okhotsk fold belt. It is established that in the given territory the rocks of the shadoronsky complex are localized in dynamometamorphic formations, and the rocks of the abagatuysky complex in riftogenic depressions. On the basis of mineralogical-petrographic studies and analysis of petrogeochemical characteristics, it is shown that the rocks under consideration are represented by a wide development of formations of intermediate composition. This significantly distinguishes them from the classical volcanics of the bimodal associations of the Eastern Transbaikalia and indicates a significant duration of the processes of differentiation of the parent melts. In addition, a significant influence on the genesis of the rocks of the shadoron complex is associated with crystallization differentiation in combination with the pronounced process of subduction enrichment and the influence of the mantle component. The formation of the abagatuysky complex reveals a significant influence of the cortex contamination.
