ABSTRACT

The basic geo-ecological problems of coal-mining areas which deteriorated sharply in the last 20 years in connection with the restructuring of the coal industry. The greatest attention is paid to the problems of solid waste (heaps of coal mines, tailings, slag waste etc.) and pollution of surface and underground hydrosphere.
