A novel hydrogels as soil conditioner were prepared via radical copolymerization of sodium salt of acrylic acid and 3-chloro-1,3-butadiene-2-phosphonic acid and N,N’-methylene-bis-acrylamide. The acrylic phosphorus-containing hydrogels were synthesized in the water at temperature 70 °C. The influence of copolymer composition on the sorption characteristics in the aqueous solutions of nutrients and trace elements plant growth regulators was studied. It was shown that introduction of a phosphorus-containing monomers lead to increase in water retention and a sorption of nutrients.
