ABSTRACT:

The period of last 20 years has brought a great interest in environmental management tools which could minimize negative environmental impact of dangerous chemical substances. As result of that process law and management system such as REACH and LCA have been developed. There is no doubt that greater availability of toxicity data resulting from REACH can strengthen LCA toxicity assessments. As an example in the article will be presented the practical application of combine REACH and LCA analyze in case of mining explosives (e.g. dynamites), which traditionally are classified as particularly dangerous substances.
