ABSTRACT
Highway D1 which is connecting west an east Slovakia is part of the landslide region near the town Žilina. Five bridges are designed on this section which length is 4,504 km. Bridge 202 in km 1.350 - 1.900 is designed to overcome an obstacles in form of valley and stream. Bridge is situated and founded in the area of active landslide. This article is focused on stability analysis of the active landslide. Two software´s were used to analyse behaviour of landslide. Geotechnical model was developed to characterize real geological conditions of bridge subsoil. Analysis was based on the engineering-geological investigation and geotechnical monitoring (inclinometer measurements). Results from stability analysis were the input data for the following design of the important stabilization precautions which role is to protect the bridge foundation.
Keywords: active landslide, slope stability, shear strength parameters, pile wall
