PROPOSING CONSTRUCTION OF NEW INTEGRATED COAL CONVEYING SYSTEM IN THE AREA OF THE SOUTHERN SLOPES IN RESPONSE TO THE MINING LICENCE FOR BÍLINA MINE OPERATION

ABSTRACT
The Bílina coal mines belong among the producers of brown coal, which is significant for its low content of sulphur. It is one of the largest mines within the Czech Republic, whose perspective for possible mining goes to the year 2050. Unfortunately the biggest problem is the dumping area, which is limited. Therefore a construction of coal elevator at the southern slopes of the mine Bílina has been suggested recently. The oblique slope passes from the environment of Cretaceous clay stones and marlites into the subgrade of Tertiary clays and volcanic environments with positions of weathered basalt. The main faulting structure – the Viktoria fault and the Bilinsky fault go through the area of interest. The current southern slopes represent the excavated cuts of the quarry. On the individual layers there are considerably burden communications and conveyor belts. In the interested area there are two distinctive slides, which are going to be redeveloped within the suggested relaying of the coal exhausts. The aim of the strategical change in the mining concept is mainly to gain free space at the inner dump.
