ABSTRACT
To meet the conditions of competitive markets, combined fodder factories should seek high-performance recipes, while respecting EU rules on food safety and environmental pollution.
This paper presents some aspects of the technological process of preparation of compound fodder with a focus on obtaining granules using steam generator. It presents an analysis on measurements taken in different strategic points of the technological flow, showing that the results were within the limits imposed by European legislation, throughout the entire duration of batch assortment. Through the executed analysis we aimed to determine the possibilities for automatic operation of combustion installations, depending on temperature, humidity and pressure steam, in compliance with European environmental protection regulations, while prioritizing fuel consumption reduction.
