ABSTRACT
We present a new parallel algorithm for seismic traveltime computation, based on fast sweeping finite difference scheme for eikonal equation. Proposed algorithm is used in our seismic traveltime tomography code. The goal of the research is to develop a package for solving large-scale 3D seismic tomography problems on massively parallel MPI high-performance computing platforms.
