ABSTRACT
The assessment of energy performance of buildings gained an increasing importance over the last years. The effectiveness of thermal rehabilitation measures in terms of energy savings and maximizing the indoor environment comfort is different in various situations, depending on the building destination, geometry, area of building envelope and of the thermal resistance of these elements. The aim of this paper is to present the results of a comparative study of four different education buildings of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Building Services from Iași, Romania. The study is based on the results of the analysis carried on these buildings, having different thermal insulation degree of the envelope. In order to assess the weight of each factor that interfere in the global coefficient of thermal insulation, it was used the technique of factorial plan of experience with two levels.
