THE TRIBOLOGICAL PROPERTIES OF EXPANDED GRAPHITE / SILICONE RESIN COMPOSITES

ABSTRACT
The composites based on expanded graphite (EG) with silicone resin (SR) were consolidated at in range 30-90 MPa for 60 s and then sintered for 30 min at 200±10 C. The tribological properties of composites was investigated with a pin-on-disk tester under dry conditions. Тhe effects of the SR weight and sliding velocity on the friction and wear properties were explored.
