ABSTRACT
For Romania, business tourism represents a particularly important opportunity and
direction of development. It is one of the tourism types that have thrived significantly
during the last decennia, being favored by the social, economic and political context.
This paper aims to evaluate today’s stage of this type of tourism by means of an analysis based on the main tourism traffic indexes and on the expenses made in this sense, all being synthesized from the perspective of the specific tourism forms that circumscribe it or that it generates.

Keywords: business tourism, tourism demand, touristic traffic indexes, expenses,
specific tourism forms.
