ABSTRACT
This paper offers a comprehensive description of the processes and methods in quality assurance and accreditation in higher education in Kosovo together with guidelines and templates to inform all those directly and indirectly concerned with the conduct of the activities and to support continuing improvements in higher education. The paper focuses upon the part that rigorous and systematic processes of quality assurance can play a role in giving confidence to all those with a legitimate interest in higher education and its quality assurance systems. These stakeholders include higher education institutions, the students and prospective students, graduates and alumni, sponsors and funding organizations, employers of graduates and those involved in community services, and the wider community. This paper summarizes literature findings on the value and impact of accreditation in the quality assurance in high education. It includes results and conclusions from research, literature, and experience.
