ADSORPTION OF MALACHITE GREEN ONTO BENTONITE MODIFIED WITH CARBOXYMETHYL CELLULOSE

ABSTRACT
The adsorption of malachite green dye on the modified bentonite with carboxymethyl
cellulose was investigated using SEM. The experimental isotherm data were analyzed using the Langmuir equations. Natural bentonite shows stronger attachment to adsorbed dye (on the basis of parameters of adsorption isotherms). Values of RL show that in all investigated cases favoured adsorption were happened. Natural bentonite shows lower adsorption capacity compared to bentonite samples modified with carboxymethyl cellulose.
