ABSTRACT
The article is aimed at the clarifying several aspects of dynamic water behaviour near lateral spillway using the three-dimensional CFD numerical model supported by physical research. Hybrid modelling combines the benefits of physical/experimental research and mathematical modelling into one concept capable of accurately and efficiently finding solutions for a wide range of tasks of many industries. Although both methods of physical research as well as mathematical modelling are independent and able to solve problems, their combination is the perfect way to approach a problem.
