In the article, a new method of dust suppression by spraying is presented. By a number ofexperiments and theoretical analyses it has been found that to the correct function of spraying, a ratio between the size of dust grain and that of water droplet is of importance. For confirming this opinion, authors carried out several in situ measurements and came to a conclusion that by selection of a suitable type of nozzle the effectiveness of dust suppression by spraying can be increased.
