ABSTRACT

A composite material is realized when two or more mix materials by combination, resulting in a product with superior properties. The calculations mechanical properties of polymer matrix composites in terms of linear-elastic mechanics, are in accordance enough good experiences. However, there are considerable theoretical difficulties when filling large or medium reports, one of the main problems is the interaction between the filler particles.
Composition to the surface treatment of glass fibers used as reinforcement material in composites based on polypropylene have been based, in time, on use of a coupling agent type aminoalchilalcoxisilan hydrolysed colloidal dispersion to carboxylated polypropylene with low molecular weight treated with a hydroxide of an alkali metal (especially potassium hydroxide).Coatings results provide capacity fiber surface wetting by melt acceptable and reasonable compatibility with polypropylene matrix, crystallized, and could thus obtain composite materials with a corresponding global spectrum of mechanical properties [1].
