RESEARCHES CONCERNING IMPACT OF IV AXIS “LEADER” IMPLEMENTATION IN ROMANIA

ABSTRACT

This study presents impact of Axis “LEADER” implementation in Romania since launch to the present. Support through the LEADER Axis provides an opportunity to introduce a new approach to rural development planning based on bottom-up principle, integrated builds on identifying local needs and developing local development strategies that combine one or more priority objectives - e.g. competitiveness (axis 1), and quality of life / diversification (axis 3).
For this research were used original data collected from the National Rural Development Network (NRDN) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD), both from Romania.
