ABSTRACT
GIS Application in the Management of reservoir lakes. Case study: the series of lakes on the Arges River - Valcele, Budeasa, Bascov. Using new technology in the study and management of reservoirs and other genetic categories becomes a common practice among the specialists of this area. Putting together the GPS systems, the echo-probes and the GIS processing and representation methods, rapidly leads to having the best results compared to the classical methods of bathymetrical survey which had been previously used. The Arges River has an improved course from the point of view of the drainage, with a series of lakes arranged in cascade where the transit of water and alluvium volumes involves morphometrical changes for these lakes. The silting phenomenon is also felt in these lakes, which makes it necessary to analyze the silting degree in order to establish the best way to exploit them.
Keywords: reservoir lake, sediments, bathymetric
