ABSTRACT

Recovery (recycling) of plant resources is in a favorable international context and
represents the strong concern at economic, environmental protection and social level.
There are presented the properties of the biocomposite fiber material (flax, jute, sisal,
cotton, liberian fibers etc) and it is explained by comparison to others materials,
insisting on their biodegradable nature, but also on the increasingly and diversified
applications (agriculture, packaging, construction, transport, household etc). The
concerns in this area as regards the production and their processing, the ecological
character, as well as the principle of integrated engineering applied in line with the
sustainable development are distinct parts of this works.
