ABSTRACT

In the last two decades, Romanian authorities did not want to know how many
graduates from each area can be absorbed by the labor market, which fields are oversaturated,
and which areas have a shortage of specialists. Nobody was concerned in the
fact that the number of universities rose greatly, and with it and the number of
unemployed with university diploma. In almost the entire period, universities have
inflated the number of school from one year to another, without taking into account the
risk that their future graduates will not be absorbed by the labor market.

Keywords: universities, inflation, graduates, labor market.
