ABSTRACT
Realization of the Sarajevo City Center (SCC), the largest business center in Bosnia and
Herzegovina, began in October 2008. It is going to be a huge building, measuring over 170 x 75 meters. Its excavation pit, with a depth of 22 meters, was the largest on the Balkan peninsula. The building, whose construction is underway, is located in a central
downtown Sarajevo area. It is positioned near the tram lines, cultural and historic heritage, state institutions, residential buildings, etc., which are endangered by construction of SCC. This article describes the geodetic works that were undertaken in order to control the positional stability of the SCC as well as the surrounding buildings.
Affected area is covered with a microtriangulation network, and it consists of 70 control points. The zero measurement epoch was made in April 2009 and since then 4 series of measurements were performed. Based on the processing of these measurements, using
own software solution, it is possible to determine and analyze displacements of control points.
Keywords: Microtriangulation Network, Deformation, Displacement.
