ABSTRACT
Kohe Siah anticline is located at 20 km NE of Dehdasht city. The studied area is very
important from aspect of water resources in Kohgilooye & Boerahmad province. So the
karstic resources as a strategic resource is noticed the government’s s province.
Structural elements such as, faults, joints, folds and bedding patterns play an important
role in the karstification and development of Karst water resource. In this research
emphasis is given to investigating whether structural elements and topographic factors,
mapped using remote sensing, aerial photo interpretation and derived from the geologic
map can be correlated with hydrologic phenomena. With this assumption, various types
of thematic layers have been prepared and integrated in a GIS environment due to the
good correlation between Dehdasht areas. Above mentioned factors and hydrologic
phenomena it was concluded that tectonic elements have a positive influence on the
groundwater occurrence and they act as transmission routs in the limestone bodies.
