THE INFLUENCE OF FUCOSE-CONTAINING COMPONENTS IN THE COMPOUND FEED ON THE FISH-BIOLOGICAL AND PHYSIOLOGICAL PARAMETERS OF STURGEON LARVAE
ABSTRACT
In recent years, numerous works have been devoted to sturgeon breeding. One of the reproduction problems of sturgeon fishes is the low survival rate of larvae and fry, which is associated with the impact of various negative factors on the growth and viability of the young in the early stages of its development. One of the ways to increase the viability of sturgeon larvae is to introduce components into the starting compound feed that regulate metabolic processes, including the resistance of early juveniles to unfavourable environmental factors. Fucoid vesiculosis fucoidan and hydrolysates obtained as a result of its enzymatic hydrolysis were selected as biologically active substances potentially capable of increasing fish resistance in the early stages of ontogenesis. The maximum degree of cleavage of fucoidan was observed during hydrolysis with fucosidase in an amount of 7 U / g for 4 hours. The obtained fucose-containing hydrolysates and fucoidan were added to the starting feed in the amount of 0.1% of the weight of the mixed fodder and their effect on the fish-biological and physiological parameters of the Russian sturgeon larvae. It was established that when fucose-containing hydrolysates and fucoidan were introduced into the starting feed, the survival of the larvae of the experimental groups increased by 25 and 28%, respectively, while the larvae had higher growth rates than the control group. The increase in the protein content in the larval muscle tissue by 7.0 and 7.2% also indicated a positive effect of the fucose-containing components in the compound feed on the physiological condition of the young Russian sturgeon.
