ABSTRACT

Trepça mine in Stantërg during its activities of exploitation periods divides this process in three stages of exploitation, where in the first stage there are old exploitations of levels from 830m and 610m, and the way of exploitation method, dimensions of
backbones and securing plates has been changed as a result of determination of height
of floor-horizons between them. The heights of 30m and the angle of small fall allows
this method of exploitation to be more favourable and secure.

Securing backbones, are formed as a result of the creation of a secure working environment during the exploitation phase of manufactory. The securing backbone must
be designed, and then formed in a way so it can fulfill all the designated parameters. As
a result of new backbone formation, the working front advances and the need for a new
backbone and manufactory contour occurs, and finally the exploitation stage of
manufacturing cutting ends.

The exploitation of securing backbones has to be done in a secure way so it can fulfill
the criteria of efficient exploitation but in the impoverishment aspect it will increase this
parameter, and this has to be analyzed in the future if it is worthy considering the high
quality of metal in ore and high security of working in upper levels.
