ABSTRACT

NAVITEQ establishes the first nationwide GNSS network in Bulgaria. It is a private
project that offers an inexpensive way of precise positioning by transmitting correction
data. The main purpose is to provide services to GNSS users that need centimeter and
sub-centimeter accuracy.

NAVITEQ provides three types of services called Naviteq Post Processing, Naviteq
VRS and Naviteq PreciseRTK. There is another service in real time mode that is under
development.

The NAVITEQ reference stations positions are determined in the EUREF based
National Reference Frame realized by the National GPS Network. (ETRS89,
ETRF2000, epoch 2005.0.)

In March this year NAVITEQ network was further extended by a new reference station
situated in Rakovski town near Plovdiv.

Because of the higher economic interest in the Eastern part of Bulgaria, NAVITEQ
currently develops there a second part of the GNSS network. The next step is to join
both parts of the network and cover the entire country. The expected overall network
coverage by September 2008 is about 50% of the national territory.

The GNSS network services offered by NAVITEQ are used in different professional
fields such as geodesy, cadastre, photogrammetry, civil engineering, designing,
communications, utilities and any other fields where users need high accuracy and
efficiency.
