THE ROLE OF ALKALI METAL COMPOUNDS IN SYNTHESIS OF EFFECTIVE POLYMER-BASED PALLADIUM CATALYSTS OF SELECTIVE HYDROGENATION
ABSTRACT
Pd-catalyzed reactions are one of the most widespread in fine organic synthesis. For example, selective hydrogenation of alkynols is used for production of a large variety of terpenoids and also fat-soluble vitamins. The challenge in hydrogenation of triple carbon-carbon bond using Pd nanoparticles (NPs) is to provide high activity, selectivity and stability of catalytic system. This work is devoted to the investigation of the influence of the type of anion (OH-, CO32-, PO43-), which was introduced in the catalyst Pd/HPS (Pd NPs stabilized by hypercrosslinked polystyrene (HPS)) during the post-impregnation procedure. Moreover, the influence of the addition of alkali metal (Na+) at the stage of catalyst synthesis was considered.
