MULTIFLUX SEDIMENTATION SUPPORTED WITH COAGULATION PROCESS

ABSTRACT
This paper presents the research on the sedimentation process assisted with coagulation process. The main purpose of this project is to determine the method of coagulant dose selection during the sedimentation of the coal suspension.
Measurements have been made for various sedimentation intensification techniques: the use of coagulant, the use of lamella, and the use of both techniques simultaneously. The efficiency of the sedimentation process was compared using various intensification techniques. The studies were conducted under static conditions.
It has been shown that the use of multiflux fillings and simultaneous coagulation allows the same sedimentation efficiency to be achieved with reduced coagulant dose. An analysis of the sedimentation process using PIX coagulant).
Analysis of the effect of coagulant dose on sedimentation rate was also performed.
The research has shown that the use of multiflux fillings reduces the dose of chemicals used in such processes.
