ABSTRACT

The research is devoted to the investigation of meadowsweet (Filipendula ulmaria (L.) Maxim., Rosaceae line), which is widely used by population for medical purposes. The results are represented by the concentrations of 28 chemical elements determined by INAA method and 55 ones determined by ICP-MS in 201 samples of the aboveground part of the plants collected in different regions of the south of Siberia. The analysis of the data obtained allowed concluding that the chemical elements varied depending on the regional geochemical features, that there were dynamic changes in the concentrations of specific elements and that in the areas of the location of tailings from mining specific elements were concentrated. It was found that the meadowsweet accumulated Cr and Fe in the Altai republic and Altai territory, Tb – in Novosibirsk region, Cr, Br and Fe in Krasnoyarsk territory, Cr, Fe and Au – in the republic Khakassia, and Ca, Br, Rb, Sr, Au in Tomsk region. Statistical analysis of the results allowed us to establish the effect of the soil mineral composition and the mining region specificity of Kemerovo region on the elemental composition of the meadowsweet. The results showed significant positive correlations of the elements and statistically significant difference in the studied areas on the basis of the concentrations of some elements. The differences found in the elemental composition of the meadowsweet from different regions may be the indicator of the geoecological situation of the territories.
