NEW SGEM Scientific Online eLibrary
After a long time work, our pride is the absolutely new SGEM Online eLibrary, available here. The Library is created according the rules of the International databases, with a whole needed information and ability to export the article in BIB format. Try and spread your experience with us.
Till we complete the new library with papers from all the years, you can use this link /Full Old Library/, if papers that you need are not visible yet here.

ENERGY–SAVING AND ENVIRONMENTAL–FRIENDLY TECHNOLOGY FOR CONSTRUCTION OF UNDERGROUND ARCHITECTONIC OBJECTS WITH THE USE OF ROADHEADERS

Cheluszka, P.; Remiorz, E.
Abstract:
The underground architectonic objects are often located at low depth. This is why, in order to protect objects located on the area or minimize the negative impact of works performed on people and the environment, roadheaders are widely applied, with the use of which excavating takes place in a mechanical way. Boom–type roadheaders deserve special attention in the group of roadheaders. A significant feature of the machines is the possibility of building underground objects of any shape and size of cross–section in the rocks of various hardness. The article presents the selected results of extensive computer studies on the rocks cutting process using boom–type roadheaders equipped with transverse cutting heads. The original, experimentally verified dynamic model of the roadheader has been used for the above purposes. The objective of the studies was, among others, to determine the impact of mechanical properties of the rock being cut, cutting process parameters and stereometry of cutting heads on the specific energy. The possibilities of minimizing the energy consumption of cutting by means of applicable selection of stereometry of roadheaders cutting heads and values of parameters in the cutting process for the given geological conditions have been investigated.
