NEW SGEM Scientific Online eLibrary
After a long time work, our pride is the absolutely new SGEM Online eLibrary, available here. The Library is created according the rules of the International databases, with a whole needed information and ability to export the article in BIB format. Try and spread your experience with us.
Till we complete the new library with papers from all the years, you can use this link /Full Old Library/, if papers that you need are not visible yet here.

THE IMPACT OF NIGHT-TIME PRE-COOLING ON THERMAL COMFORT IN A FAMILY HOUSE

Kovac, M.; Kovacova, K.
Abstract:
The content of paper is theoretical case study of family house where the impact of night pre-cooling on operative temperature is analysed. The living space under pitched roof was selected for case study purposes. There are compared two types of building constructions. On the one hand side there is the wooden lightweight construction and on the other hand side there is the heavyweight construction made of reinforced concrete. The mechanical ventilation system provides for the required air change rate in living space during whole day continually. The required air change rate was calculated according to technical standard STN EN 15251. The results from energy simulation show positive impact of night pre-cooling in combination with heavyweight construction on max daytime operative temperature in living space in comparison with lightweight construction. The results are output from dynamic energy simulation tool DesignBuilder, version 4. There were used the hourly simulation weather data (IWEC) for Kosice from EnergyPlus database.
